A position exists for a post-doctoral Research Associate to join a multidisciplinary team working on wireless sensor monitoring of the existing bridge, tunnel and pipeline infrastructure in the UK. The project is part of a major initiative by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and involves civil engineers, computing experts, wireless communications specialists and sensor researchers from the University of Cambridge (both Engineering Department & Computer Laboratory), Imperial College London and a number of partner organisations including Intel, London Underground Limited, the Highways Agency and the Humber Bridge Board.
